About
Páros ISLAND
Breathtaking Beaches. Ancient Ruins. Mediterranean Vibes.

About the Destination

There’s isn’t enough time in one's life to see all the thousands of gorgeous islands across Europe. But those looking for the best of the best should head to the Greek island of Páros. Located in the heart of the Cyclades, some hours away from Athens by ferry, the island is alternately described as Greece’s best-kept secret and its biggest up-and-comer — and it’s always raved about.

Cyclades islands are most renowned for their serene landscapes, cosmopolitan nightlife, and ancient monuments, such as the sanctuary of Delian Apollo and Artemis. And with 120kms of coastline, Páros complemented by endless sandy beaches with azure blue waters, it's also a haven for kitesurfing.

The Best Time to Enjoy Páros

May and June are certainly the ideal months for a cozy stay in Páros: there are less crowds than during summer holidays, and the weather is already warm, the sky is clear, and chances of rain are low.

Please note that these side trips (and any other activities) are not included in the chapter price. These are given here for information only, and you will have to organize it yourself before, during, or after the chapter. Luckily, Kiterhood is the breeding ground for new friendships, so you can easily team up and side trip together whenever it suits you. We can already recommend you not to make solid flight arrangements on the days following this chapter. You will maybe end up extending your stay for a few more weeks:  Kiterhood is only the beginning!

A Perfect Playground for Kitesurfing

Spots to suit every level are only steps away from where you’ll live and work. Water is flat in most spots, but you can expect some small waves too when swell comes in. Average water temperature is around 21°C/70°F, the wind is strong and you can expect to have the spots mostly for yourself thanks to the timing of the chapter. Here are some of the spots where sessions are planned to take place.

FAQ

Why don’t I just AirBnB? I mean, that’s how I always do it...
You could! It will just be a different experience.
Each Kiterhood chapter is designed to balance privacy and community. So it’s easy to hang out with cool people, and still have quiet productive time for yourself. Because life is more fun when sharing is involved, isn’t it?
Please take few minutes to read this page: Thibaut explains why he founded Kiterhood and how this co-living experience may bring more value to location‑independent people than AirBnb.
How is Kiterhood different from other co-livings?
Kiterhood is about passion, not business. Thibaut established the project as a non-profit and his contribution to planning each chapter is done on a voluntary basis.
So dealing with a non-profit (instead of a company) means that you can always expect to pay the right price: nobody will compromise on quality to increase margins! And keeping our Kiterhood small is not a problem either: we actually prefer it that way. We assess each application with diversity, compatibility, and group cohesion in mind. Last but not least: there’s no other co-living that focuses solely on location‑independent kitesurfers. Each home base is curated with respect to the needs of this small, but beautiful community.
Who joins the Kiterhood?
Kiterhood is about bringing together people  who share a similar mindset, a passion for travelling and an adventurous spirit. So it is tailored for location‑independent professionals in search  for the perfect balance between getting things done and living life to the  fullest. Expect entrepreneurs, freelancers as well as full-time employees who traded their cubicle for the beach. They all have a passion for kitesurfing: some are veterans who can show you a neat trick or two, others will feel the wind in their kites for the first time with us.
To join a chapter, each member must first submit an application, answering a few questions about themselves. Then, applications are being assessed thoroughly – and a brief video call is  scheduled – with a single purpose in mind: having a diverse, well-balanced,  and cohesive group.
What  about couples? Can I share my room with someone?
Up to two people may share a room (friends, family, couples, etc.) if they apply together for that chapter. A 30% discount will be applied to the chapter base price for both roommates.
In case they choose a room in a superior category, please note that the discount does not apply to the room category fee itself. The category fee is per room, not per person so it will be added to the summed chapter base prices after the 30% discount is applied.
The number of rooms available for sharing is chapter-specific, and it will be communicated at the moment of application based on the villa capacity.
To ensure that the common areas remain comfortable, access of people from outside (i.e. who did not go through the application process just like you did) is not allowed on the premises. This includes, without limitation, the villa, pool area, courtyard, etc. However, exceptions can be made for daytime group events (organized with the prior unanimous agreement of the Kiterhood), and for visitors up to 5 visits per chapter and per participant. When  does the next chapter open? Where is the next chapter planned?
You can expect 3 to 4 Kiterhood chapters to take place each year. Usually, a chapter opens around six months before the starting date, and a link to the full description can be found here
Want to be the first to know each time a new chapter opens? Drop us your email address and we will let you know:

We're actively seeking suggestions on where to go next. If you have a destination in mind, please contact us here.
How can I register for this Kiterhood chapter?
Please fill out this application form and tell us a bit more about yourself. Thibaut, the Kiterhood founder, will get back to you within 72 hours, and if you fit the Kiterhood type a 15-minute video call will be scheduled. It’s a good opportunity to address any other pending questions and concerns you may have. All details of how to finalize your booking will also be provided during this call. We generally run out of spots 3 months before the start of a chapter, so if you are in for this chapter dont wait to much to secure your room before they are all gone!
Please keep in mind that we like keeping our Kiterhood small. This means that we usually run out of places as early as 3 months in advance. So if you’re in for this chapter, don’t wait too long before submitting your application.
What's your payment conditions and cancellation policy?
The chapter base price is specified in the destination details, at the top of this page. An extra fee may apply, depending of which room you choose. A 50% down payment is required to secure your spot. When we receive this first payment from you, it shows us your serious commitment to join us for this chapter, and allows us to finalize all bookings with confidence. The remaining 50% can be paid on the spot, but not later than 48 hours after your arrival/check-in.
A full refund of your downpayment is possible should you cancel no later than 60 days before the starting date of that chapter. Exceptions to the 60‑day rule can be made only if another applicant on the waiting list is willing to take your spot and pays their down payment within a specified period of time.
Is the cost of a Kiterhood chapter tax-deductible?
Many of our participants have been able to claim Kiterhood chapter costs as a business expense on their taxes. We recommend you talk to your personal tax accountant to learn more about your specific situation.
Can I talk with the passionate human behind Kiterhood?
Sure! Thibaut will answer any questions you have. Email him here, or simply start a chat:
